Christian Food Pantry Ministry – Sams Club Employees Volunteer at Pantry!

On April 25, 2023 the pantry was blessed by over a dozen Sams Club Volunteers!  They came bearing three truckloads of non-perishable food for us along with muscle and energy to help out.  These wonderful men and women unloaded the donations they brought, stocked our shelves, unloaded and put away three pallets of groceries purchased through and delivered to the pantry all in the first hour and a half!  For the remaining four hours of donated time this group emptied and cleaned out the storage shed we were renting and no longer needed, bagged groceries, and assisted clients as they loaded their cars with the food they received!  In addition, we are in the process of completed necessary paperwork to receive a grant from them via CyberGrants!  A big THANK YOU to Sams Club of Lady Lake and their great employees!!

The pantry is currently serving about 350 families each month. Our numbers increase slightly during the summer when children are home from school for the season so donations are even more important.  During the summer months we have a break in providing the Feed the Children Snack Packs for the children at Rolling Acres Elementary, we will resume the program in mid-August.  In 2023 we provided 120 snack packs each week for a total of 19 school weeks. That’s a total of 2280 snack packs bagged for our local children in need!  THANKS TO OUR FEED THE CHILDREN VOLUNTEERS!!

You can support the pantry by donating non-perishable goods anytime, simply place the items in the Green Bin in the lobby with the Christian Food Pantry signage.  If you prefer you may donate money by designating the Food Pantry on your donation envelope.

May God bless you and yours always.
