Thank You Sam's Club in Lady Lake!

 

A big thank you to these employees of our local Sam's Club who spent their morning with us Tuesday, April 23rd volunteering their time to help stock and bag groceries.  They also brought a truck load of donations for us to distribute to our clients and the 120 children who attend The Villages Elementary School on Rolling Acres Road who receives Snack Packs

donated and filled by our pantry.

A wonderful team of volunteers from the new PGA Superstore in Lady Lake, pictured above came to help on Thursday, March 22!  These wonderful men and woman worked non-stop from 9:45 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. at the pantry.  It was so wonderful having so many extra strong men and women to assist our volunteers with unloading and shelving groceries donated by our partner stores Target, Winn Dixie Lake Sumter and Winn Dixie Pinnellas Plaza. They assisted in bagging groceries and frozen meat. that we give to our families.   Last but not least they unloaded and shelved a huge donation of non-perishable groceries including paper products and pet food donated by WATER OAKS Community in Lady Lake pictured below:

                        Over 7,000 pounds of non-perishable food and other items were collected by residents of Water Oaks Community for local food pantries.  Our Christian Food Pantry was included in the distribution which helped fill our shelves at a critical time when seasonal giving generally ends but great need continues.

 

    

      

                         

Special Food Distribution for Local Families in Need

We will host a special food distribution beginning at 10 a.m. 

in the parking lot of North Lake Presbyterian Church.

 This will be a drive-up event only, for those local families in need within our service district area. We will be distributing food donated through Society of St. Andrew as a FARM SHARE event.  You do not need to be a registered client to receive this assistance but must live in the local area and receiving SNAP, SSI, Medicaid
 or be Low Income Eligible.
